Ergo Legal Counsel (ELC) is a reputable law firm with over 20 years of practice. ELC has traditionally focused on a number of practice areas for litigation including constitutional, administrative and election laws. Over the last decade, its practice areas have expanded to include company and banking and Artha Rin Adalat (Money loan court) matters; white collar crime and anti-corruption and criminal cases; and family and personal law matters.

Since its establishment in 2002, the ELC has represented large institutional clients as well as corporate and international clients. Some of our clients have included the Bangladesh Election Commission, the Bangladesh Post Office, Population Council (USA), Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), Cotecna inspection Ltd, Pentex UK Ltd.

We have successfully represented clients before in Court in writ, civil service, criminal, commercial and banking matters. We are experienced in advising clients on legal compliance and due diligence on HR and employment issues. We also offer a full range of legal services including litigation, ADR, arbitration and settlements. Our Head of Chambers has also served as Amicus Curiae in a number of cases as intermittently requested by the Court.

ELC consists of a highly educated team with two members having specialized doctoral degrees in law and two members of the team are also Barristers qualified in the U.K. This highly qualified team has allowed ELC to expand into legal policy research to complement our practice, and position itself at the forefront of law reform and policy-making.
